Democracy & Diplomacy Summer School

How do diplomats function within the constraints of a democracy? Is it democratic that treaties, deals, and agreements which influence everyday life are negotiated by unelected representatives? Can and should we make diplomacy more democratic?

From the 7th until the 13th of July The Young Diplomat is organising a summer school on democracy and diplomacy. The program will be hosting some prominent speakers such as Simon Anholt (expert on public diplomacy & nation branding), top diplomat Patrick de Vries, and the Centre for International Legal Cooperation (CILC) on the development of the Rule of Law. So if you want to expand your knowledge about democracy and diplomacy and improve your negotiation skills, do not hesitate as there are only a few days left to apply. The tuition fee is only € 100,-!
