Vasileios P. Karakasis

Since 2014 Vasilis has been working as a Course Coordinator for Sen Foundation. Under the auspices of Pr. Voorhoeve, he has coordinated and taught Bachelor- and Master-level courses on International Relations/Organizations and Peacebuilding at Leiden University. For two consecutive years (2015 and 2016) and in the context of the Summer Schools held by The Hague University of Applied Sciences, he organized and taught at the Module on “Human Security, Rights and Development”. Besides this affiliation, he also works as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs of Leiden University, where he teaches Public Policy and Politics of Crisis Management. For the time being, he also pursues his PhD on “Energy Security Dilemmas and the Cyprus Question” at the Dual PhD Centre. Before coming to the Netherlands Vasilis, who is born in Greece, launched his BA studies on Political Science at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed his MA at Bilgi University of Turkey (on Greek-Turkish relations) and his MSc at Leiden University (Public Administration with specialization on Crisis and Security Management).
